
Qualifications
Alan graduated from the Faculty of Science, University of Manchester in 1970 with a First Class Honours Degree in Civil Engineering. He became a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers in 1976, and was proud to be appointed a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers in 2002.
Career
Alan began his career with British Rail in 1966, and has since worked as a lecturer, engineering manager, technical director and geotechnical engineering consultant. His impressive CV includes:
