Training

Alan Binns, Director of Plough Geotechnical Training Ltd, has been involved with training throughout his career; starting with 14 years lecturing on soil mechanics at Leeds Polytechnic up to 1990 and then as part of his duties with various consulting companies.

Since 2006 Alan has been delivering courses to the Environment Agency (as a subconsultant to TerraConsult Ltd) on landfill geotechnics and earthworks. The courses were designed specifically for Environment Agency staff and have been adopted into the Agency's training programme being presented at regular intervals as part of the EA CPD programme.

Equipe Group 

Working in partnership Plough Geotechnical Training, have teamed up the Equipe Group to present geotechnical courses, so far courses have been developed for:

• Geotechnical foundation design
• Slope stability design 
• Earthworks
• Further Foundation Design

The maths on the courses is kept simple being aimed at professionals coming to geotechnical design relatively recently or to staff involved in pricing or selling geotechnical services and needing to understand the terminology and principles.

The courses are run either at Equipe's office in Banbury or online

Bespoke Courses

Plough Geotechnical Training can design and develop courses which are tailored to a clients specific needs and delivered at the clients own offices or online
